Yes, Connector can be installed as a service on a server.
If you install Connector on a server, login happens with one user and settings are always the same regardless of the person taking care of the billing. OUT-folder defined in Connector on the server would then be same for all, so everyone taking care of billing should have access there.
Do take into consideration, that Connector doesn't automatically send error messages in case something goes wrong there. For this reason Connector's log file should be regularly monitored in the service.
What comes to Connector and server operating together, Connector for example by default restarts automatically after server updates when server is restarted. However, we recommend you to go through the configurations of Windows service manager, as they have an impact to this.
